ADHD Assessment & Care
If you have previously been diagnosed by a psychiatrist, child psychiatrist, paediatrician, or psychologist and are looking to change your treatment team, AOA Clinic can support a smooth transition of care - without the need to repeat the full assessment process.
Transition Process
The transition process involves 2 appointments.
Appointment 1
40 minute appointment to establish medical history & review past diagnosis.
Prior diagnostic reports and prescription history, including documentation of childhood collateral is required.
Adult collateral, such as an ASRS-O or similar validated screening tool, is also required.
A DIVA assessment that included the interview of someone that knew you from childhood.
Appointment 2
15 minute appointment to review risk, make a comprehensive care plan and, if appropriate, prescribe medication.
If there is complexity identified, a referral to the AOA Clinic Psychiatrist will be made for a full review.

All practitioners at AOA Clinic are independent and their fees may differ. An indication of the fee structure can be found below.
- The process is 2 appointments.
- Prior diagnostic reports and prescription history, including documentation of childhood collateral, is required.
- Adult collateral, such as an ASRS-O or similar validated screening tool, is also required.
- All appointments are done via telehealth.
- There are two options for treatment post appointments.
1st Appointment with AOA Clinic GP
A 40 min appointment to establish medical history and review past diagnosis.
Case Conference with AOA Clinic GP, AOA Clinic Psychiatrist & Care Coordinator
A 15 min appointment to review and discuss your case and treatment plan.
